American Style Pancakes
The ultimate Sunday breakfast…real American pancakes or “flapjacks”… You’ll need:
125 grams plain flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
240 ml whole milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons olive oil
A drop of vanilla essence
Method
Add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt to a bowl and mix well ensuring its thoroughly combined
Add whole milk, olive oil and egg to the mixture and mix until smooth
Add half a serving spoon of mixture to a heated pan lightly glazed in butter
Wait until enough bubbles have formed on top of the pancake before you flip it
When both sides are nicely browned then serve with your choice of topping, blueberries, bananas and maple/golden syrup make a wonderful topping
