The Bikinis I’m Wearing This Summer
After more than a year living in loungewear and pyjamas it’s fair to say that I was more than ready to slip on my bikini in Beirut. If you’re new to my blog and don’t follow me on Instagram, then let me update you: I’ve spent the past two weeks in Beirut, Lebanon… visiting family, eating lots of hummus and baba ganoush and soaking up the sun, sand, salt and sea. My little holiday was wonderful and after 6 months at home, it was the getaway that I needed. However great it was though, I totally see why more people are opting for staycations this year rather than venturing abroad: pcr tests and flights are expensive and the hassle of having to fill out countless passenger locator forms, wear a mask and wait in line (in very hot airports I might add) takes the joy out of travelling. I for one, don’t think I’ll be jetting off again until the restrictions are relaxed further. Alas, my beautiful bikinis won’t be bathing back in Beirut, the Bahamas or Maldives anytime soon.
While we might not have the warm and welcoming waters of the West Indies, you can rest-assured those bikinis will be coming out either-way. England might be infamous for the rain and cold, but I am happy to say it’s a very respectable 20 degrees as I sit and write this. So even though most of us will be switching Bora Bora for Bournemouth this year, you can rest assured these bikinis will bring the heat (and hot-girl summer!) to you.
